In waking up, some mornings are just plain harder than others. A few aches here, a few problems there. Also of course, in a worker bee society, there exists always the dreaded tasks that lie ahead, at times seemingly only for tasks sake.
Or in today's tough times, over 1 in 5 of you reading this will be suffering since you can't find work can't fit into a society that is folding in on itself in times of "recession" so instead many reading this will be feeling down since you can't measure up to society since you don't fit in with a job.
I scan Facebook. I find it interesting how many people are posting inspirational posts, putting on the happy face, pushing out positive thoughts for change. I could be blamed for such activity, but in reality, this is an example of how to write out thoughts to help sort out life into something that reflects our nature more fully. Perhaps all of the positive postings we are finding in Facebook are a counter balancing force to all of the negative news media statements?
Now I teach people how to live in potential. Good or bad are just relative terms. I teach also how to flip potential about. To take a bad potential and flip it to becoming a good potential. So this post might seem a bit strange, but potential represent the core of how I live and think. We must understand our down times in order to balance out our life with positive times.
Life is to live and we take it all to become our nature. But good vs bad... That is a personal choice on how to hold the problem or situation.
I got an email today from a friend and student, lost , so very lost because she can't find a job. She can't define her life in normal social terms. I have to remind her to love herself and to move a day at a time. Putting together what fits in her life. To feel down right now is part of the process since it is showing her where not to go. It shows her not to define herself to something that doesn't exist in her life: "a job" since to do so tears down her very nature to be nothing also! With this simple change of how to look at the problem, it becomes something that can be lived towards. No one can live to nothing. So part of potential is to understand how we live fully to our life each moment.
I have to admit I woke up feeling down today, feeling worn out. I have worked a bit too hard and the non profit work I do in national health care is kicking me about. Even with my spiritual jujustu training, its been a challenging month and the next months is going to be tough. It's a spiritual battle to help improve Substance Abuse Care and Mental Health system in the United States. This morning I woke up feeling down, feeling this weeks challenges already lining up.
I got up, meditated for a hour, got my cup of tea and wrote this post to share. To say I will take these feelings and accept them first. Then taking my first piece of advice:
Not to define myself to something that doesn't exist yet: "challenges " since to do so tears down my very nature to be nothing also! In other words I have no challenges to face, spiritually I can let it pass though me to not effect me. I will work a day at a time helping others, Counseling, Teaching Taoism and helping improve health care...
No life is perfect without issues, in fact we need mistakes to thrive. To live life fully, in the highest potential of being "Casey" that I decide to fit my whims and personal needs.
I keep my needs simple, and I focus my whims to smiling. Ironically then: is how this does become the perfect life. :) and I am up back to full form. Living well and gracefully.
Namaste
